How to apply
HTWK Leipzig welcomes applications from international students!
Please note that all of our degree programmes regularly attract more applicants than there are spots available; hence there is a numerus clausus (NC) for each programme, making admission more or less competitive each year.
The application procedure varies for degree and non-degree students:
- If you plan to study at HTWK Leipzig for a full Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, please refer to the directions for degree students.
- If you wish to spend one or two semesters at HTWK Leipzig as an exchange student from one of our international partner universities, please refer to the directions for non-degree students.
Since all courses at HTWK Leipzig are taught in German (with the exception of the BA programme in International Management), degree as well as non-degree students need to demonstrate that they have a good command of written and spoken German. Please see the German proficiency section to find out what is expected.
Moreover, you may need a visa and/or a residence permit to study in Germany. Check out the visa and entry requirements for your country.
