Non-degree study at HTWK Leipzig

HTWK Leipzig welcomes applications from international students who wish to study with us for a semester or two as exchange students from one of our partner universities abroad, for example.

There are many reasons why non-degree study at HTWK Leipzig is a rewarding experience: Some students find that it helps them determine if they want to pursue a degree in Germany. Others are not interested in earning a German degree but want to experience the academic and social aspects of German university life or wish to take specific courses they could not take at home.

As a visiting or exchange student, you may take any course you are academically qualified to take. However, as some courses are offered on a space-available basis, we cannot guarantee that any specific course will be available. You will meet regularly admitted HTWK Leipzig students in all of your courses and have unlimited access to all of the University’s facilities.

In order to be eligible for non-degree study at HTWK Leipzig, you must be enrolled in a degree-seeking undergraduate or postgraduate programme at your current university and have completed at least one full year of university credit by the time of enrolment. A Bachelor’s degree is required for taking courses at the postgraduate level. For more information on admissions requirements and procedures, please refer to the application section.
