Energy Crisis Measures

In its engagement for the protection of the climate and sustainability, HTWK Leipzig supports the responsible and cautious use of energy and water resources. In response to the challenges we face due to the current energy crisis, HTWK Leipzig has taken a number of measures to save energy in line with the national and regional efforts to secure energy supply.
 

Heat Supply

  • The temperature is lowered to 19 degree Celcius in all rooms of the university buildings for the time being.
  • There will be no heating in all rooms of the university buildings from 19 December 2022 until 1 January 2023. This also applies to weekends and times out of opening hours. Exceptions may be arranged through the Chancellor's office.
  • The use of additional mobile heating or cooling devices is prohibited.
     

Energy Supply

  • Lights to illuminate university buildings facades or arts objects are turned off for the time being.
  • Further measures to save energy may apply at the individual faculty or facility.
     

Water Supply

  • Water heating devices are turned off in all university buildings and facilities, including lavatories.
