The mentoring programme for female Master’s students and research assistants at HTWK Leipzig is entering a new phase!
Are you interested in doing a PhD but not yet sure whether this path is right for you? The Ment4Science mentoring programme supports female Master’s students and research assistants at HTWK Leipzig who are interested in a PhD, helping them to reflect on their individual options and make an informed decision for or against pursuing a PhD.
Developing perspectives together
A PhD is an important step in an academic career and, at the same time, raises many questions: Is a PhD the right path for me? How can I balance a PhD with other areas of my life? What opportunities and challenges does a PhD entail?
Ment4Science provides a space to explore these and other questions together with other women interested in a PhD and an experienced mentor. Through peer and group mentoring, participants can share experiences, gain insight into different perspectives and openly discuss personal questions.
Is this programme right for you?
Ment4Science is aimed at female Master’s students and research assistants from all departments at HTWK Leipzig who are interested in pursuing a PhD.
The programme will be of particular interest to you if …
- you’re interested in doing a PhD after your Master’s degree, but are still unsure whether this might be the right path for you?
- You’re unsure how you could pursue a PhD whilst in a particular life situation?
- You’re keen to discuss these issues with peers and a mentor and weigh up all the options?
- You have enough time to take part in the programme: during the semester, peer mentoring sessions take place every two months, along with two group mentoring sessions.
