Academic Calendar
At HTWK Leipzig, the academic year is divided into two semesters:
Winter semester (WS): 1 October – 31 March
Summer semester (SS): 1 April – 30 September
Each semester includes 14 weeks of lectures and seminars (Vorlesungszeit), a four week examination period and time for independent work (Semesterpause).
Your checklist before every semester start
- Re-registration and semester fee
- Validate your HTWK card (ticket)
- Check your schedule (in German)
- Check your scripts and learning material (OPAL)
