New careers websites showcase HTWK Leipzig as an attractive employer
HTWK Leipzig is showcasing its career opportunities on a new website. The careers pages, which are now live, are designed to target qualified applicants more effectively. The aim is to fill vacancies more quickly and raise the university’s profile as an attractive employer.
The pages are a key outcome of the ‘Science Careers’ project for universities of applied sciences, in which HTWK Leipzig has strategically developed its employer brand and recruitment marketing.
The new website launches at a crucial time. A generational shift is set to take place in the coming years, which will have significant implications: numerous posts will become vacant due to retirement and will need to be filled. By the end of 2032, this is expected to affect around half of all professorships alone.
The web pages are aimed at potential applicants for professorships, research positions, and roles in administration, technical services and support. Tailored information is available for each target group. Existing content, such as information on the appointment process, has also been thoroughly revised and integrated into the new website.
“In the competition for the best talent, it is not only what a university achieves that matters, but also what it stands for. This is precisely what our new careers pages highlight: working at HTWK Leipzig is particularly rewarding because of our commitment, as a university community, to developing practical solutions for social progress. This is a lifelong mission that we pursue with passion,” says HTWK Rector Prof. Dr-Ing. Jean-Alexander-Müller.
