Virtual insights into the HTWK Leipzig
You can also experience research at HTWK Leipzig online: Here you can find first examples of virtual labs and tours.
Virtual labs and tours
The soil mechanics laboratories
In the interactive room you can experience test presses, shearing devices and special tests from soil mechanics in action. Short tutorials, images and texts provide insights into our research and show how we work in geotechnics and why soil is a special building material.
Building with carbon concrete
The Institute of Concrete Structures provides an insight into how buildings can be designed effectively and sustainably in the future and which new building materials will be used for this. In the digital showroom, which can be accessed via the virtual exhibition space of the Science Night, you can view components in 3D and see how the building material of the future is produced in a concrete plant using new technologies.
Virtual exhibition room
Several experimental stands are usually set up in the foyer of the Nieper Building for the Long Night of Science. The virtual exhibition space was created to integrate the room as a central contact point for the first virtual Science Night. Interested parties were able to discover all events and activities at HTWK Leipzig in 3D and with a 360-degree view. The virtual rooms and laboratories as well as the videos can still be accessed there.
