The Research Unit reports to the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Sustainability. It provides information on research and doctoral funding, as well as on technology transfer, and supports researchers in applying for research projects. The Research Unit also houses the Graduate Centre, the start-up advisory service and the university-wide research communications team.

Contact the Research Communications and Marketing team
The Research Communication and Research Marketing teams regularly provide updates on new research findings through news articles, press releases and the research magazine *Einblicke*. In addition, the department supports researchers in promoting their research projects to the wider public. The Science Night at HTWK Leipzig, organised every two years and open to all interested members of the public, also offers insights into research.

The Research Administration unit within the Finance Department, in collaboration with the Research Unit, oversees the preparation, implementation and financial settlement of research projects, as well as the management of commercial third-party-funded projects (contract research, contract services, research-related services and academic conferences).
