Technologies and services in the field of assistance systems for independent and supported living
The GoodBrother project focuses on technologies and services in the field of ambient and assisted living (AAL) systems. It takes into account gender-specific, cultural, ethical and social dimensions and promotes active exchange between researchers and industry partners from various fields such as computer science, engineering, healthcare, law, economics, psychology and sociology, as well as other stakeholders such as end-users, policymakers and advocacy groups.
The primary aim of the project is to counteract the so-called ‘Big Brother’ effect through an interdisciplinary and comprehensive approach, thereby facilitating the acceptance and widespread use of new AAL technologies and services. Furthermore, the transparency and accessibility of the research are supported through public initiatives and open-access publications.
