Digitalisation in the manufacturing process improves the production of timber panel elements
OptiPaRef aims to improve manufacturing efficiency and process reliability in the craft-based production of timber frame components. The core idea behind the project is to make the three-dimensional design data—which is generated anyway—available to carpenters directly on the shop floor, in a step-by-step and context-sensitive manner. To this end, FLEX is developing a methodology for the holographic display of complex production information for individual components. The assistance system projects the necessary production information directly into the carpenter’s field of vision via AR glasses, without any additional effort. At the same time, quality assurance in production is to be significantly simplified and made traceable.
